About the Author

Sandy Robertson is in his twenties and comes from near Glasgow (“Detroit without the guns”), remembering little about the period before he left school after narrowly escaping expulsion for the use of profane language. Tenures as dishwasher, government agent and X-ray technocrat were profoundly unsatisfying, so after scripting and hosting a radio programme on The Velvet Underground he published two limited edition books of poems, Sleeping Stars and The Names of Angels, before moving to London.

While editor of the rock / art magazine White Stuff he also freelanced for various publications, interviewing and dissecting such icons as Mick Jagger, Brian Wilson and Debby Harry between extended visits to his adopted home of Los Angeles. Now on the editorial staff of SOUNDS pop paper, he was the first writer in the UK to review, interview and predict the major success for Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman.

Sandy Robertson is a practicing degenerate, but he’s learning fast.
